Baby Eleanor - first snare victim for 2017

Eleanor is a young 2 year old elephant who broke her femur (thigh bone) in a poacher's snare. She also suffered damage to the lens in one eye and is now blind in that eye. She is being cared for by staff and will require a mahout to stay with her 24 hours a day to ensure she survives the trauma of losing her mother and her herd. It is hoped that her leg will mend correctly as we cannot get it x-rayed to have a clear understanding of where the break is.
Please donate to our emergency fund for Eleanor
